My name is Kevin Mulder and for the greatest part of my life I have lived in an environment with a lot of problems, instability and insecurity. Due to these problems I was insecure and did a lot of stupid things. Lost a lot of friends, started using drugs, theft and other criminal activity. In this period I had no parents who looked after me. My mother was forced to move to france on the age of 13 and I decided to stay, so I lost my mom. My father is a good men, but in the time of the events he was drinking a lot of alcohol and he was unable to take care of me. So I resulted with youth services and other care facilities to look after me. In this period I began to get panic attacks of anger, and I was unable to communicatie of sociale with people in a normal way. I was removed from facility over and over again which resulted in living on the streets for weeks and sometimes even months.
Last year I got an opportunity at Dok51, to get an internship for homeless people. I would learn to host and cook and in return I would do some work for the company.
This internship was paid by the social services for an amount of 17.000 euro, which later on appeared to be a real bad investment.
I was still recovering from my past but struggling with there policies, I couldn't comply with the tasks they demanded and in all the time that I spended there I never had one single lesson. For as far as I know I only worked, hour after hour which resulted in no payments and an exhausted body.
In this period I lived in a temporary care taking family who were normal people but also christian, you what they say about christians and this is true. I was taken care of pretty good, they helped me as far as they could for the time being.
Eventually we couldn't continue, they were unhappy with my results so I was forced to leave.
This made me homeless again, with no money and support I was once again on my own.
After this event I decided that I really wanted to make something out of my life, and at that point I received a phone-call from Cartago and that's when everything started and went to full speed.
